One of the "problems" that some of the clients mention when using personal recording cameras is that, in a stressful situation, they often forget to activate the recording. For this Halo has 2 solutions. The AWARE system, which is a device that sends a signal to any HALO camera that is up to 30 meters away and that automatically activates recording, and another is the pre-recording system. The AWARE device can be easily and quickly installed next to the holster of the firearm, of the ECD "Electronic Control Device", of the spray and even of the baton, so that when removing any of these weapons from its holster, the AWARE device sends the automatic recording activation signal.
In addition, all HALO cameras can be activated automatically. As soon as an AWARE device is activated, any other HALO camera within 30 meter range will automatically start recording. AWARE devices can activate the camera automatically, when, for example: the lightbar is activated, the siren is activated, the vehicle door is opened, etc...
The AWARE device automatically pairs with Halo cameras, so there's no need to memorize steps, read instructions, or do anything complicated. Simply as soon as it is activated, it sends the signal to any Halo camera so that they start recording.
